Vox Pop for Schools

Citizenship education that students actually want to do

72% of young people aged 11 to 25 say they want to learn more about politics at school. The demand is there. What has been missing is a way to meet it that does not require teachers to become political experts overnight, that holds students' attention beyond a single lesson, and that gives your school something concrete to show Ofsted.

That is what Vox Pop is built for.

Built for the curriculum. Designed for the classroom.

Vox Pop is a gamified civic education platform aligned to GCSE Citizenship, A-Level Government and Politics, and the PSHE framework. Every course, debate, and activity on the platform maps to Ofsted's Personal Development criteria and British Values requirements, so your school builds evidence of structured provision without anyone having to start from scratch.

Teachers get a Command Centre dashboard to set assignments, track engagement, access to lesson resources for citizenship and politics, and monitor progress across every class. Students get 350+ bite-sized courses, live policy debates, a competitive national leaderboard, and Civic Credits they can earn and redeem for real rewards. The result is a platform where students are genuinely motivated to keep coming back, and teachers can point to data that demonstrates impact.

No specialist training required. No additional prep time. It works with what you already have.

The Oxford Standard — debate training for every student

Vox Pop is founded and led by two former Presidents of the Oxford Union, the world's most prestigious debating society. We believe that high-quality oracy and structured argumentation are not privileges reserved for independent schools. They are essential skills that every secondary student deserves access to.

Our in-person workshops bring Oxford Union methodology directly into your school. Students learn how to construct evidence-based arguments, how to challenge opposing views with confidence, and how to engage with political disagreement without it becoming personal. These are skills that transfer across every subject and every stage of life.

Start for free — introductory workshops at no cost

We currently offer fully funded introductory workshops so your staff and students can experience Vox Pop firsthand before committing to anything. You can choose from two flagship sessions:

Elite Debating Masterclass

Elite Debating Masterclass Delivered by one of our founders,, this workshop teaches students the mechanics of world-class debate. Participants learn how to decode a question, build an argument under time pressure, and rebut effectively. Ideal as an enrichment day activity, a PSHE drop-down session, or an extension programme for high-ability students.

Are You Smarter Than a Politician? (AYSTAP)

Are You Smarter Than a Politician? (AYSTAP) An immersive civic simulation based on our AYSTAP workbook. Students step into the shoes of decision-makers and work through real scenarios including budget trade-offs, policy design, and political campaigning. Fast-paced, discussion-based, and deliberately provocative in the best possible way. Students leave with a much clearer sense of how political decisions actually get made, and why it matters that they are involved.

We would love to show you what Vox Pop looks like in practice. Book a free 15-minute call with our team, and we will talk through your school's specific needs and lock in a date for your free introductory workshop.
